He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud Delbert and Dussie Ansel (Perry); his wife Barbara Ansel (Clupper); and his siblings, Ethel Faye Howard, Loraine Watkins, Carl Ansel and Walter Ansel.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ray Jacobs (Janet) of Wabash, Dennis Ansel (Ruthann) of Indianapolis, Charles Chaffin of Wabash, Indiana and Shirley Johnson (Carl) of Dema; and his children, James Crager (Kem) of Urbana, Dennis Crager (Stacey) of Kentucky, Michael Crager of Kentucky, Terry Crager (Poteet) of Kentucky, Shelley Rhoades of Wabash, Indiana. and Christy Swango of Wabash, Indiana.. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
