He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Eugene and Marcia Joan Steele (Shoemaker); his wife Linda Lou Green; and his siblings, Kevin Steele and Karla Jane Stouffer.
He is survived by: his children, Megan Starkey (Ryan) of Peru and Jeremy Steele (Patty) of Wabash; his grandchildren, Ellison Starkey, Holland Starkey, Allison Steele and Ashton Steele; and his siblings, Kim Steele (Kathleen), Kyle Steele (Mindy) and Kathy Steele.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Manchester Avenue Chapel (1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash, IN 46992). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service (1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash, IN 46992).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northfield Class of 1973 Education Fund to provide students with opportunities that may have been unobtainable otherwise.
