He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Lee Biehl; his son-in-law Wayne Stephan; his siblings, Arden (Linda Biehl), Eldon (Martha Biehl) and Lois (Don Roser); and his brother-in-law Max Chamberlain.

He is survived by: his children, Cheryle Ranck (Ralph) of Urbana, Diana Stephan of North Manchester, Jill Biehl of North Manchester and Jay Biehl (Lisa) of Matthews; his grandchildren, Michael Stephan (Susan), Christina Barlow (Kyle), Angela Wilson (Shannon), Matthew Ranck (Krista), Nicholas Ranck (Andrea), Lydia Ralston (Shane), Gretchen Biehl, Alex Biehl (Kirstie) and Abby Parry (Jordan); his great grandchildren, Alison Ranck, Bailey Prestmo (Mason), Tyler Ranck, Cole Ranck, Max Ranck, Jack Ranck, Luke Ranck, Guy Stephan, Levi Stephan, Tristan Barlow, Tayten Barlow, Scarlett Ralston, Ava Ralston and Ezra Biehl; and his sister Nancy Chamberlain of Urbana.
