She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wylie and Esther Wylie (Laramore); her son Brian Toepfer; and her siblings, John Wylie and Betty Chittum.
She is survived by: her husband Orion Toepfer of Wabash; her son Jeffrey Toepfer (Leslie) of Milford; her grandsons, Mathew Toepfer of Milford and Nicholas Toepfer of Grayling, Michigan; her son Bruce Toepfer (Beth) of Winston-Salem; her grandchildren, Aaron Toepfer of Winston-Salem and Brittany Hall (Jason); her daughter-in-law Cheryl Toepfer of Oakland City; her grandchildren-in-law, Rachel Toepfer of Laos, Abby Doyle (Corban) of Oakland City, Steven Toepfer (Harlee Ray) of Huntingburg and Joseph Toepfer of Oakland City; her daughter Linda Abney of Kokomo; her grandchildren, Gabriel Abney of South Bend, Aidan Abney of Monroe and Christian Abney of New Haven, Connecticut; her daughter Janice Harris (Phil) of Columbia City, Indiana; and her great grandchildren, Evangeline Toepfer and Margo Doyle. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wabash First United Methodist Church (110 S Cass St, Wabash, IN 46992). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Preferred memorial is the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
