He was predeceased by: his wife Sue; and his brothers, Richard Hays and Paul Hays. He is survived by: his children, Jonathan Hays, Beth Black (Bruce), James Hays (Grace) and Elaine Hays; his grandchildren, Laura Hays, Caitlin Black Obetz (Greg), Margaret Mauro (Andrew), Cathleen Hays, Nathan Hays and Marissa Brichacek (Evan); his great grandchildren, Olivia Black, Amelia Obetz, Carson Obetz, Emma Mauro, Susie Mauro and Frankie Mauro; and his sister Ellen West.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Falls Cemetery (725 Falls Ave, Wabash, IN 46992).
