He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Eddie" Baer and Thelma Baer (Sands); and his brothers, Ted Baer and Todd Baer. He is survived by: his nieces, Lisa Hearn (Scott) of Wabash, Angie Baer-DeLauter of Wabash, Cinda Baer of Texas and Susan Baer of Texas; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Blake Hearn (Hayley) of North Manchester, Caitlin Hearn of Wabash, Miles Hearn of Wabash, Phoebe Hearn (Ian Ogden) of Wabash, Reese DeLauter (Layne) of Wabash, Sterling DeLauter (Blake Peterson) of Wabash, Seth Baer of Texas and Reid Baer of Texas.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Wabash Chapel (231 Falls Ave, Wabash, IN 46992). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
