It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanley Eugene Douglas of Wadesville, Indiana, who passed away on July 30, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Douglas and Violet Douglas (Rogers); and his brother Jim Douglas. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Douglas (Cochran) of Wadesville, IN; his children, Rene Douglas of Wadesville, IN, Lisa Pearson (Tracy) of Evansville, IN, Gina Melton (Gene) of Carmi, IL, Darrell Douglas (Jessie) of Mountain Home, AR and Travis Douglas (Julie) of Wadesville, IN; his brother Michael Douglas (Linda) of Port Neches, TX; his grandchildren, Jason, Ashley Ramsey, Cody Douglas (Carly), Callie Capel (Jake), Drew Pearson (Alyssa), Bryce Pearson, Rachel Lindsey (Brad), Austin Schmidt (Whitney), Hannah Cole (Ronnie), Clay and Carly Douglas; and his great grandchildren, Emmaline, Cody, Jr., Halle, Ava, Skyler, Chessa, Case, Cove and Dustin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Browning Funeral Home (738 E Diamond Ave, Evansville, IN 47711). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
