In loving memory of Gregory L. Baines of Wakarusa, Indiana, who departed this world on July 22, 2025 at the age of 73. Gregory leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Though Gregory may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gregory touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Baines and Mary Baines (Denney). He is survived by: his sons, Nick Marks of Elkhart and Bryan Berry (Renee) of Elkhart; and his grandchildren, Angela Clarke (Braxton) of North Carolina, Jayden, Brady Marks, Jack, Ben Berry, Lyn, Hayden Nelms and Bob Denney.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home (403 W Franklin St, Elkhart, IN 46516). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
