He was predeceased by: his parents, John I. Bowers and Ina O. Bowers (Bickel); his wife Peggy L. Yoder; and his siblings, Robert Bowers, Elsie Bowers-Corl and Lucille Bowers.
He is survived by: his sons, John Bowers (Donna) of Wakarusa and Matt Bowers of Wakarusa; his grandsons, Jacob Bowers (Ericka) of Wakarusa and Justin Bowers (Hannah) of Wakarusa; and his great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Olivia, Esther, Asa, Sebastian, Lucille and Josiah.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Thompson Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home (501 North Elkhart Street, Wakarusa, IN 46573). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
