It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phillip D. Barnes (Wakarusa, Indiana), born in Mishawaka, Indiana, who passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Barnes and Anna Barnes of Osceola, Indiana.; and his brothers, Charles and Richard. He is survived by: his sisters, Phyllis Osborne of Elkhart and Shirley Heibert (Gene) of Albany, Oregon.. He is also survived by grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Rieth Rohrer Ehret Leinhart Funeral Home (117 W Waterford St, Wakarusa, IN 46573). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. JoAnn lovingly cared for him at home until November 2022, when Phil was hospitalized with COVID-19.
