It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Geraldine Brown of Waldron, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 78, on November 2, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Gurley and Ruby Gurley (Lee); her husband Landon "Sam" Brown; and her siblings, Etheleen Swango, Tammy Gurley and Barry Gurley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Hackworth (Scott) of Greensburg and Randi Field of Greensburg; her siblings, Carolyn Austin of Shelbyville and Richard Gurley (Theresa) of Cookeville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Makenna Hackworth (Eli), Alexis Hackworth and Quaylynn Hackworth (Tristan); her great grandchild Kya Guerrero; and her sister-in-law Leanna Gurley of Knightstown. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including her caregivers.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Freeman Family Funeral Homes (819 S Harrison St, Shelbyville, IN 46176). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
