She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert Northern and Sandra Northern; her siblings, Randy, Michael Northern and Peggy; her brother-in-law Bill Kreighbaum; and her brother Mike.

She is survived by : her children, Michael Wakeman (Heather) of North Liberty, Nicholas Wakeman of Walkerton and Krystal Camacho of Walkerton; her grandchildren, Brisa, Cynthia, Isaiah, Lluvia, Melinda, Atticus, Athena and Kourtney; and her siblings, Jeffery Northern of La Porte, Kimberly Escobedo (Mario) of La Porte and Pamela Nieto of La Porte. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
