He is survived by: his wife Chana Mikel of Walkerton; his children, Derek Traversa (Angela), Emily Sowder (Zach) and Sarah Newland (Justin); his grandchildren, Ariana, Asher, Calvin and Conrad; his siblings, Amy Taylor (Paul), Allison Pomeroy (D. J.), Kori Merritt (Frankie) and Trevor Mikel (Maria); his stepmother Thais Mikel; his mother-in-law MaryJo Singleton; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Singleton and Ivan Singleton.
