He was predeceased by: his parents, Oved Earl and Melba Lee Holmes; his son Jason Holmes; and his siblings, Robert Holmes and Sharon Bennett.

He is survived by: his children, Leanne Holmes, Teresa Disse (John) and Robert Holmes (Ashley); his grandchildren, Brittney Mangold, Jeremy Creech, Olivia Carney, Morgan Holmes, Isabella Holmes, Ethan Holmes, Levi Holmes, Ashley Knight (Travis), Jamie Lawrence (Jake), Serena Holmes, Heather Disse and Matthew Disse; his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Carson, Krew, Paris, Mason, Alice, Jackson, Chelsey, Liam of Valencia, TJ, Riley and Remi; his sister Pamela Holmes; and his pet Sam. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
