Lorraine M. Moerman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lorraine M. Moerman (Walkerton, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 23, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, W. Eugene Moerman and Margaret Tiede (Gunn); her husband Eugene Moerman; her children, Cynthia Wood and Stephen Moerman; and her brothers, Jack and Charles Tiede.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Hollie Sanderson (Matt), Brett Lott, Melanie Strain (Christopher Groszek), Melinda South (Jeff), Jack Moerman, Allison Clark (Bob), Lori Fortlander, Dawne Cowgill (Al) and Larry Wood (Michelle); and her brother Loren Tiede. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Rannells Funeral Home - Koontz Lake Chapel (7984 IN-23, Walkerton, IN 46574). A rosary was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Dominic Catholic Church (10440 IN-23, Walkerton, IN 46574). A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Woodlawn Cemetery Industrial Park.
