He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira C. Platz and Edna L. Platz (Hummel); his spouse Jewel Parks; his son David L. Platz; and his daughter-in-law Dona Platz.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Platz, Patricia Koch and Shelly Platz (Craig); his grandchildren, Heather, Le Anne, Chad (Sally) and Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Lexia, Carson, Payton, Brantly and Ben; and his great great grandchild Atalie.
