As Marilyn departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Marilyn may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Marilyn leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Duval (Klatt) and Ernest Duval. She is survived by: her husband Daniel Hopper; her son Matthew Gruel; her stepchildren, Jeff Hopper of Peru, Kathy Hopper of Peru and Terry Hopper of Peru; and her sister Elizabeth Duval of Vacaville, CA..
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. John's Lutheran Church, 181 West Main Street, Peru, Indiana, 46970, where she was an active member for nearly 50 years.
