She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorotha Layman (Maze) and Harry Layman; her husbands, Harold Nicholas, Laurel Heady and Sam Geasey; her son Larry David Nicholas; and her siblings, Mildred "Ilene" Wallace, Madonna "Donnie" Blinn, Brenton "Bink" Layman, Wilma "Pete" Mildebrandt and Jean Ann Birnell.
She is survived by: her children, Mary "Nicky" Hastings and Brian Nicholas; her grandchildren, Amy Price, Eric Wood, Matthew Nicholas and Mallory McClurg; and her great grandchildren, Asher, Brayden, Jacob Wood, Mary, Jake and Abby Price. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at the Walton United Methodist Church. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Galveston Cemetery.
