Sara Sue Whitcomb Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Sue Whitcomb of Walton, Indiana, who passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ovid Russell and Ruby Dell Eckelbarger (Pugh); her brothers, Bryce, Byron and Philip Eckelbarger; and her husband Ellis C. Whitcomb.

She is survived by: her sister Della Diane Skeen; her children, Tyson, Tobin, Tristan Whitcomb and Kyle Beck; and her grandchildren, Hannah Whitcomb, Rachel Spencer, Joshua Whitcomb, Rebecca Whitcomb, Caleb Whitcomb, Benjamin Whitcomb, Jacob Whitcomb, Samuel Whitcomb, Thomas Whitcomb, Zachariah Whitcomb, Megan Whitcomb, Paige Brown, Nicole Brown, David Brown, Christopher Brown, Camille Brown, Danielle Brown, Angelique Brown and Katherine Brown. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.

Sara wished to donate her body to the Indiana University Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology School of Medicine.
