The family announces the passing of Carol R. Pfeifer of Wanatah, Indiana on October 29, 2026. Carol, born on June 5, 1937 in Hebron, Indiana, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. She was predeceased by: her husband Alvin L. Pfeifer; her daughter Karen Rosenbaum; and her siblings, Helen Curry, Charles, Ray, Jack, John and Osburn.
She is survived by: her children, Gene Pfeifer (Diane) of Lafayette and Jim Pfeifer of Michigan City; and her son-in-law Kevin Rosenbaum of Kouts. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the LaCrosse Christian Church (504 S Washington St, Valparaiso, IN 46385). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery of LaCrosse.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Karen Rosenbaum Scholarship Fund c/o Kouts High School (https://sites.google.com).
