He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Applegate and Martha P. Applegate (Sciscoe); his grandson Charles Edward; his brother Stephen Applegate; and his brothers-in-law, Buster, Leroy and Gary Keele.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Applegate (Keele) of Warren, IN; his children, Charles T. Applegate Jr. (Patty) of Huntington, IN and Brenda L. Applegate of Bluffton, IN; his grandchildren, Cylest, Amber, Megan and Paige; his great grandchildren, Addison, Zoey, Emma, Ella-Rae, Nadine and EJ; his sister-in-law Janie Applegate; his nephews, Stephen R. Applegate and Jaque A. Applegate; and his in-laws, Sandy, Kenley Grubbs, Carol, Dwight Ferrell, Mary and David Holton. He is also survived by 9 nieces and 5 nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home (203 N Matilda St, Warren, IN 46792). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
