She was predeceased by : her parents, Pliny H. Poffenberger and Annetta B. Poffenberger (Strahl); her husband David J. Smith; and her siblings, William R. Wayman, Scott Poffenberger, Betty L. Sweeney and Elizabeth Huffman.
She is survived by : her children, Laura Beck (Joe) of Sweetser, Greg Smith (Jerri) of Noblesville, Kathy McCarter (late Mike) of Kokomo and Mark Smith of Marion; her grandchildren, Lindsay Harkins (Cory), Bethany Welch (Adam), Jordan Smith, Brieanna Davis, Jennifer Pemberton and Brittany Rector (Joe); and her stepgrandchildren, Kristine and Chad McCarter. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
