In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Merrill leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Merrill may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Justus Butterfield and Mable Butterfield; and his wife Josephine Butterfield. He is survived by: his pet Jack; his children, Ramona Harshbarger (Tony) of Warren, Rochelle Myers (Michael) of Indialantic, Florida and Lynn Butterfield of Douglasville, Georgia.; his granddaughter Justina Myers (Richard Wood); his great grandchild Capri Wood of Melbourne, Florida; and his grandson Justus Myers (Haley Chittwood) of Fairbanks, Alaska.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A prayer was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the The Church at McNatt (9183 W 800 S-90, Montpelier, IN 47359).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House and or The Church at McNatt, Arrangements have been entrusted to Glancy Funeral Homes.
