He was predeceased by : his parents, Perry Newsome and Nola Newsome (Sword); and his siblings, Gilvia Morrissetti (Warsaw), Sylvia Hamilton (Warsaw), Velma Amburgy (Mentone), Melvie Howell of McDowell, KY, Elvia "Boggy" Scott of Prestonburg, KY, Zelvie "Tincy" Gayheart (Warsaw), John Henry Newsome of Richmond, KY, Phil Newsome of Salisbury, KY, Clifford Newsome (Mentone), William Lee "Will" Newsome (Mentone) and Arqulius "Art" Newsome (Warsaw).

He is survived by : his children, Shane Newsome (Lori) of Warsaw, Tonya Newsome of Warsaw and Lisa Newsome (Dawn) of Warsaw; his grandchildren, Landon Newsome (Hannah), Garrett Newsome, Skyler Newsome (Crystal), Raygan Wright and Keaton Cornelius Helmkamp; and also, Silas and Isaiah Newsome. He is also survived by his family, friends.
