He was predeceased by : his parents, Fredrick Richard VanDuyne and Dorcas June VanDuyne (Riddle). He is survived by : his wife Ann; his sons, Adam VanDuyne (Kristin) and Alex VanDuyne (Emily); his siblings, Richard VanDuyne (Barb), Ken VanDuyne (Sherry), Michael VanDuyne (Cathy), Tim VanDuyne (Tracy), Kevin VanDuyne (Jill) and Linda Gates (Troy); and his grandchildren, Abby VanDuyne, Eleanor VanDuyne, Samuel VanDuyne and Sophia VanDuyne. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
