He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest L. Smythe and Gertrude I. Smythe (Smith); his sister Sandra Snyder; and his brother-in-law Stephen Riffe. He is survived by: his children, Jamie Smythe of Mentone, Byron Trout (Lisa) of Churubusco and Kimberly Begley of Mentone; his grandchildren, Amber, Brian, Matt, Sarah and Stephen; and his sister Susie Riffe of Ft. Meyers, FL. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels (2290 Provident Ct, Warsaw, IN 46580). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses or to the American Legion Post #49.
