We announce the death of Larry Gaerte (Warsaw, Indiana), who passed away on July 23, 2026, at the age of 80. Larry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Larry will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Larry’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Gaerte and Beulah Gaerte (Huffman); and his son Jeffrey Gaerte. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Gaerte of Warsaw; his daughter Heather Desenberg (Louis) of Warsaw; and his grandchildren, Page Desenberg-Wojcik (Jared) of Valparaiso and Lex Desenberg of Warsaw.
