He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn Freed Whistler (Metzger) and Leonard Freed; and his brother Stan Freed. He is survived by: his significant other Mary Ann Cripe; his sisters-in-law, Karen Kaufman of Goshen, IN and Joyce Freed of Richmond, VA; and his sibling's children, Michael Kaufman, Greg, Steve Freed, Vickie Stamps, Cindy Dance, Jill Roberts, Jayne Alexander and Laurie Zimmerman.
