She is survived by: her children, Deborah Kassel (Kent), Dean Buchheit (Kathy), Cynthia Davis (Mike), Kevin Buchheit (Grace) and Michele Rainey (Brad); her grandchildren, Kris Kassel, Jonah Buchheit, Justin Buchheit, Amie Hillyard, Gretchen Berry, Joshua Davis, Anna Buchheit, Kate Buchheit, Nathanial Rainey and Nolan Rainey; her stepgrandson Jeremy Graves; her siblings, Eugene Buerck (Carol), Stella Prevallet, Robert Buerck (Jean), Jerry Buerck (Leslie) and Roger Buerck (Rhonda); her sisters-in-law, Eunice Buerck and Nelda Buerck; her grandson Nicholas Rainey; her siblings, Birdella Schnurbusch, Glennon Buerck, Rudy Buerck and Tom Buerck; and her son-in-law Kent Kassel.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church (315 NE 3rd St, Washington, IN 47501). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to: Daviess County Community Foundation, Attention: Nick Rainey Memorial Fund, 219 East Main Street, Suite B, Washington, Indiana 47501, or, to the Catholic Community of Washington, In Memory of Bernetta Buchheit, 315 NE 3rd Street, Washington, Indiana 47501.
