He is survived by: his children, Chris Hartley of Indianapolis, IN, Kaleb Hartley of Washington, IN and Kate Hartley of Washington, IN; his stepdaughter Melissa Traylor of St. Joseph, MI; his grandchildren, Ciera Traylor, Anna Traylor, Sophie Ross, Emerson Hartley and Grayson Ashby; and his sisters, Sharon Sermersheim of Jasper, IN, Connie Alsman of Hayesville, NC, Patty Wade (Jim) of Springville, IN, Debbie Pattengall (Darrell) of Huntingburg, IN and Elaine Deel of Jasper, IN..
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary (620 E Viola Ave, Washington, IN 47501).
