She was predeceased by : her parents, Logan Hobson and Ada Mae Hobson (Singleton); her husband Marvin Poland; her sisters, Sue Alberti and Nancy Soliday; her grandson Bryan Bouchie; and her son-in-law Steve Bouchie.

She is survived by : her brother Michael Hobson; her children, Gus Waggoner (Rea Goffinet) of Montgomery, Texas, Lisa Bouchie of Washington, Debora Poland of Concord, Scott F. Poland (Leila) of Powhatan, Virginia, Carla Gray (Mark) of Edgewater and Toby E. Poland (Colleen) of Concord; and her grandchildren, Corey Bouchie (Terri) of Washington, Carey Bouchie (Daniel Ash) of Washington, Cheryl Furr (Joshua) of Albemarle, Nick Waggoner of Washington, Joshua Poland of Powhatan, Miranda Elliot (Jeff) of Cumberland, Jonathan Poland of Powhatan, Jared Poland of Powhatan, Tommi Poland of Concord, Logan Sweet of Edgewater and Michael Gray of Edgewater. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
