We are sad to announce that, on January 31, 2026, at the age of 92, Elizabeth Mathias of Washington, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore "Ted" Murphy and Mary Murphy; her husband Vic Mathias; her children, William Monaghan and Terri Steffey; her grandson Austin Monaghan; and her sisters, Joan Woods, Ruth Ann Veale and Carolyn Boarman.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Monaghan (Susan Fulton), Bernard Monaghan (Danette Piccolella), Emma Edwards (Brian), George Macey, Cindi Steffey Gilmore and Gena Little (Mark); and her sister Marilyn Rigo. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins.
