It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jo (Sum) Vonderschmitt (Washington, Indiana), who passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph M. Sum and Madeline Sum (Fougerousse). She is survived by : her significant other John W. "Bill" Vonderschmitt; her great grandchildren, Wesley, Ainsley, Adelaide, Hopper and Eloise; and her siblings, Elizabeth A. Sum, Robert Sum, William Francis Sum and Eugene Sum.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mary Jo's memory to the St. John Cemetery, in care of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 315 NE 3rd Street, Washington, Indiana 47501.
