We bid farewell to Walter McKinney of Washington, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 20, 2025 at the age of 84. Walter touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Walter shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Walter farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline McKinney (Macy) and Walter McKinney; his adoptive parents, Leslie Sheets and Lera Sheets; his grandson Zackary McKinney; and his siblings, Ralph Sheets (Norma), Iris Marler (Bill) and Bob Sheets (Marjorie).
He is survived by: his wife Donna McKinney; and his sons, Kevin McKinney (Sarah), Kyle McKinney (Becky) and Kerry McKinney (Colleen). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home (2020 State St, Washington, IN 47501). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
