He is survived by: his wife Bennie; his children, Mark Schafer (Karen), Lori Riede, Margo Bennett (Chris) and Rusty Schafer; his grandsons, Timothy Wright (Lori) and Allan Wright (Kimberley); and his sisters, Sandra DiMaggio (Tom) and Deborah Schafer.
