We are sad to announce that, on June 10, 2023, at the age of 91, John Xavier Jonas of West Harrison, Indiana, born in Cedar Grove, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Jonas and Frances Jonas; his wife Jean Jonas; his siblings, Rita Viel (Dale), Charles Jonas (Betty) and Cornelius "Corny" Jonas; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Betscher and Jerome May.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Kerns, Jennifer Niehaus, Tony Jonas and Jill Woolwine (Tobey); his grandchildren, Michelle Southerington (Matt), Adam Roether (Nikki), Ryan Kerns (Ally), Amanda Singer (Adam), Nick Niehaus (Kayla), Katie, Elizabeth Jonas, Tyler Wilson (Rachel), Landon and Connor Wilson; his great grandchildren, Haedyn, Christian, Kaelyn Roether, Ella Southerington, Winter, Vivienne Kerns, Eden Singer and Kinley Niehaus; his sisters, Margaret "Margie" Betscher and Mary May; and his sister-in-law Peggy Jonas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
