With solemn reverence, we commemorate Jonatan Avila of West Lafayette, Indiana, whose life came to an end on May 30, 2025 at the age of 19, leaving behind cherished memories. Though Jonatan may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jonatan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his parents, Jorge Avila and Kendra Avila (Short); his brother Giovanni Avila; his uncles, Julio Avila, Eduardo Avila, Jose Avila and Hector Avila; his aunt Te'Ayrah Phillips; and his grandparents, Sabrina Robinson (Tony), Leonardo Avila and Georgina Godina.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Simplicity Funeral Care (1608 Schuyler Ave, Lafayette, IN 47904). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
