He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephania Fitzgerald (Altepeter) and John Fitzgerald of Stockwell, Indiana.; his daughter Theresa Marie; his brothers, Vincent (Phyllis), Donald (Dottie), Lawrence (Marge), Patrick (Mary Lou), Robert (Shirley), Richard and Timon Fitzgerald; and his brother-in-law Larry Budreau.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Budreau; his brother Steven Fitzgerald (Charlene) of Chelsea; his sisters-in-law, Jana Fitzgerald of Bradenton and Donna Beeler of Lafayette; his children, Chris Fitzgerald (Brenda) of Greenville, Denise Rush (Scott) of Logansport and Angela Hands (Justin) of West Lafayette, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Breah Fitzgerald, Cole Rush, Ty Fitzgerald, Ava Hands, Hope Rush and Jordan Hands.
Max passed peacefully after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease and other health complications.
