He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard E. Atkinson-Timmons and Marilyn Lee Atkinson-Timmons (Besse); his brother Dennis Atkinson; his brother-in-law Roger Hayworth; and his great-nephew Gabryel Atkinson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Gary Atkinson, Marla Lata (Bob), Deb Hayworth and Mike Atkinson (Ashley); Suzy, Tonya and Amy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Simplicity Funeral Care (1608 Schuyler Ave, Lafayette, IN 47904).
