Roy L. Applegate Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy L. Applegate of West Lafayette, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 10, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Roy leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Roy may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Applegate and Anna Harned Applegate; and his siblings, Carl and Ann. He is survived by: his brother Kenneth Jr. As (Nancy); his wife Jan; his children, Brent (Kathryn) and Julie (Jim Monaghan); his grandchildren, John, Lucy, Josiah and Katie; and his sister-in-law Merle Woodlee (Rick). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Covenant Church (211 Knox Dr, West Lafayette, IN 47906).
