It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian Eloise Decker of West Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Vivian may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Pyle and Glenna Pyle. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Overton Decker; her daughters, Mary Ellen Barrett (Kerry) of Vero Beach and Teresa Decker of Mooresville; her grandchildren, Courtney Barrett of Gainesville and Kristopher Barrett of West Lafayette, Indiana; and her great grandchild Avery of Gainesville, Florida..
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Vivian's name to any non-profit hospice organization of your choice, in appreciation for the compassionate care and comfort such organizations provide to families.
