It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Robert Nelson of Westfield, Indiana, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nelson and Marie Smith Nelson Jensen; his wife Joanne Johnston Nelson; his son Eric Nelson; his brother William Nelson; and his son-in-law Jonathan Hill.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Hill, Lelia George (Dave) and Howard Nelson (Laura); and his grandchildren, Michelle Hill (David Ward), Andrea Wilson (Troy), Michael Wyatt (Hannah), David George, Haley Hartwick (Austin), Stacey Renner (Jared), Brittney George, Lindsey George, Brendon Nelson and Ryan Nelson (Dienes). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
