He was predeceased by : his parents, Rosa Zeckel (Singer) and Stanley Jack Zeckel. He is survived by : his wife Sara Zeckel; his children, Ben Zeckel (Jessica), Isaac Zeckel (Kate) and Monica Rivard (Tyler); his siblings, Cynthia Pakula (Barry), Sandra Dickens (Mark), Susan Sterling (Michael), Fred Zeckel (Tami) and Richard Zeckel (Sandy); and his grandchildren, Allison, Cecilia, Riva and Paul.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gennesaret Free Clinic, Gleaners Community Food Bank, or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN).
