He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Mary Grace Helms (Koger); and his brother Roger Grant Helms. He is survived by: his children, Joshua Michael Helms (Lynn) of Fishers and Brandi Lynn Rigby (Brad) of Westport; his grandchildren, Kenedi Shaine, Claire Marie, Chase Michael Helms, Olivia Ernestine, Lily Grace and Nash Henry Rigby; and his siblings, Jami Helms (Jenny) of Westport, David Helms (Sharon) of Westport, Daniel Helms (Marilyn) of Westport, Dennis Helms of Indianapolis and Jace Helms (Carol) of Westport.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home (402 E Bennett St, Westport, IN 47283).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Westport Volunteer Fire Department through the funeral home.
