It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Geraldine Jayne of Westport, Indiana, born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Geraldine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Geraldine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parent Etter Presley; her former husband Bobby Cadwod Polly; her daughter Sherry Devon Polly; and her grandson Travis Day. She is survived by: her husband Gilbert O. Jayne of Westport; and her children, Donita Lorine "Frosty" Polly of Flagstaff, AZ, Bobby Eugene Polly (Audrey Lee) of Columbus, Michael Lynn Polly (Missy) of Columbus and Matthew Daniel Jayne of Westport. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home (402 E Bennett St, Westport, IN 47283). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the funeral home.
