He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lucien and Pearl Albert (Hultquist); and his wife Cheryl Behnke. He is survived by: his son Michael Albert (Lisa) of Westville; and his grandsons, Brady Albert of Westville and Aaron Lachiewicz of Westville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the IHSAA Foundation.
