He is survived by: his children, Janice Melnik-Jackson (Mark) of Kankakee, IL and Scott Melnik (Thaddis) of Gary, IN; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Melnik of Bass Lake, IN, Eric Jackson of Oak Park, IL and Elizabeth Jackson Cloney of Houston, TX..
