He was predeceased by: his brother David Barnes; and his father-in-law Carroll Parker. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Barnes; his mother-in-law Lynn Parker; his stepsons, Lance Warstler (Joy) of Galax, VA, Nathan Warstler (Amelie) of Madagascar, Nicholas Warstler (Kitwana) of Royal and Layton Warstler of Westville; his grandchildren, Evan, Lance, Abel, Jaxon, Maverick, Lighting, Tiana, Novalee, Gera, Nathan and Emersyn; his siblings, Robert Barnes (Jenny) of Westville and Cindy McAlpin (Tim) of Champaign, IL; and his close friend Donnie Black. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
