He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Oldfield and Delores Oldfield (Zieder); his wife Shirley; his son Michael Oldfield; and his grandson Lucas Asher.
He is survived by: his daughter Diana Asher (Louis 'Rusty'). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
