It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Sommers (Wheatfield, Indiana), who passed away on April 8, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Melvon'Andy' Eaton and Julia Eaton (White); her husband Byron Sommers; her son Clinton Gibson; and her sisters, Betty Eaton-Prater and Judy Kay Shaffer.

She is survived by : her sons, Chris Gibson (Tanya) and Chad Gibson; and her sister Laura Charlesworth. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Boersma Funeral Home (90 E Grove St, Wheatfield, IN 46392).
